Cardinal signs book of condolences for fire victims

The Catholic Primate of All Ireland, Cardinal Seán Brady, has signed the book of condolences for the three brothers killed in Monday's house fire in Drogheda.

The Catholic Primate of All Ireland, Cardinal Seán Brady, has signed the book of condolences for the three brothers killed in Monday's house fire in Drogheda.

Eight-year-old James, 16-year-old Tony and 21-year-old Martin McDonagh died in the blaze at their home in the Moneymore estate.

Their 13-year-old brother and the family's mother and father were hospitalised for injuries they sustained in the fire.

Cardinal Brady said the family had experienced a devastation and loss that goes beyond words.
