Hoax bomb found in Co Armagh

Police in the North have begun an investigation after a hoax bomb scare in Co Armagh overnight.

The suspicious device was discovered by a member of the public in the Arran Hill park area of Lurgan, sparking a security alert at around 2.30am this morning.

Two controlled explosions were carried out on the device and around 12 people were evacuated from their homes.

The device has since been declared a fake.
