Man dies in Laois collision

A man in his 40s has died after the car he was driving collided with a van in Co. Laois this morning.

The accident happened just before 8am on the Mountmellick Road in Killeigh.

The driver of the van - who is in his late 40s - was also seriously injured in the crash and is being treated at Midlands Regional Hospital.
