Women encouraged to get into politics

Women are being encouraged to get into politics as part of International Women's Day.

Ireland has one of the worst records in Europe when it comes to the number of women involved in political life.

Only 13% of Dáil deputies are women.

The National Women's Council of Ireland said the balance needs to be addressed.
