Woman and teenager killed in Kilkenny crashes

A woman and a teenage boy have died in two separate crashes in Co Kilkenny this morning.

The 16-year-old boy is believed to have been a back-seat passenger in a car that hit a tree in Cuffsgrange at around 5.30am.

The driver and another passenger were taken to St Lukes Hospital in Kilkenny, where the extent of their injuries are unknown.

The woman, meanwhile, died after the car she was driving collided with a truck in Ballyhale just before 7.30am.

The driver of the truck was not injured in the crash.
