Three arrested in connection with armed raids

Three men have been arrested in Donegal in connection with a series of armed raids in the county in recent weeks.

The three, all aged between 18 and 20, were detained this afternoon at Bunbeg.

A shotgun and pistol were also recovered.

Two of the men have been taken to Milford garda station for questioning, and the third to Letterkenny.

They are being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, and can be detained for up to 72 hours.
