Man due in court in connection with Dublin shooting

A man is due to appear in court today charged in connection with a shooting incident in Dublin last weekend.

A man in his 30s was injured when he was shot a number of times as he sat in his car at the Garda Sports and Leisure Centre at Westmanstown in Dublin 15 last Sunday.

The gunman was disarmed and arrested by off-duty Gardaí at the scene and the injured man was treated in hospital.

A 37-year-old man is due before the Dublin District Court this lunchtime.
