Workers threatened during Carlow post office raid

Two female staff were threatened during a post office raid in Carlow town this morning.

Two men armed with a sledgehammer and a knife entered the supermarket on Staplestown Road at around 11am.

They threatened two female staff members before fleeing with an undisclosed sum of money.

Gardaí are investigating the incident.
