Police in the North probe gun attack

A gun attack on a flat in Ballymena, Co Antrim, was being investigated by police today.

Four shots were fired at the flat in the James Street area at around 9pm, said a spokeswoman.

No one was in the premises at the time and no one was injured.

Detectives trying to establish a motive for the attack appealed for any witnesses to the shooting to contact them.
