Fairtrade sales 'buoyant' despite recession

Sales of fair-trade products increased by up to 30% in Ireland last year.

However this was a slowing compared with the two previous years.

Fairtrade’s Mark Ireland said that core business remains buoyant despite the recession. The next two weeks are Fairtrade Fortnight.
