Gardaí in Monaghan confirm body is that of missing teen

Gardaí in Co Monaghan have confirmed that the body recovered in a lake is that of missing teenager Michael Hughes.

A massive search was launched for the 16-year-old from Monaghan town when he failed to return from a camping trip in Rossmore Park.

His body, which was found by sub aqua divers earlier, has been brought to Our Lady's Hospital in Navan for a post mortem examination.
