The number of work days lost through industrial disputes in Ireland was down by almost one-third last year, according to figures out today.

The number of work days lost through industrial disputes in Ireland was down by almost one-third last year, according to figures out today.

The Central Statistics Office says more than 4,179 days were lost due to strike action during 2008. This compares to more than 6,038 in 2007.
