North's farmers queue for EU grants

It was like the January sales in Ballymena today after hundreds of farmers queued overnight for European grants.

The doors of Department of Agriculture offices open today across the North for those hoping to receive money from the EU rural development programme designed to help improve animal welfare and farm efficiency. Only a limited number of payouts are available.
