Banks to announce €2bn fund for first-time buyers

Ireland's two largest banks are expected to announce a €2bn fund today aimed at increasing credit for first-time home-buyers.

The fund is a condition of the Government's €7bn recapitalisation plan for AIB and Bank of Ireland.
