Man dies after stabbing in Cork

A man died today after being found with serious injuries.

A man died today after being found with serious injuries.

The victim, in his 20s, was discovered in the Friar’s Walk area of Cork City at around 7am.

It is understood he may have been stabbed.

The man was taken to Cork University Hospital but died around an hour later.

Gardaí said they were alerted by ambulance control and the area where the injured man was discovered has now been sealed off.

Crime scene examiners from the Garda Technical Bureau have been called in.

The state pathologist has also been notified.
