Removal of playwright Leonard this evening

The removal takes place this evening of the late writer Hugh Leonard, who died last week at the age of 82.

The Dublin playwright was best known for his play 'Da', which was made into a film. He wrote dozens of other plays, essays and articles.

His removal service takes place at the Church of the Assumption in Dalkey at 4pm.

Funeral mass will be held at 10am tomorrow morning.
