Five now released from custody in Dublin

A total of five men who were arrested in connection with an investigation into organised crime in Dublin have now been released.

A total of five men who were arrested in connection with an investigation into organised crime in Dublin have now been released.

The men were detained on Wednesday night during raids in the south of the city, involving the Emergency Response Unit, the Organised Crime Unit and the National Surveillance Unit.

Two stolen vehicles, a loaded Gloch firearm and 13 rounds of ammunition were recovered.

The men in their twenties were released from custody overnight, and files are being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
