Workers to be briefed on Waterford Crystal talks

Workers at Waterford Crystal are due to be briefed today about the latest developments regarding the possible sale of the company.

Representatives from the Unite trade union will update the staff members on their negotiations with the receiver and the Government.

The workers have been staging a sit-in demonstration at the Kilbarry plant since manufacturing ceased last month.

The receiver was in talks with two possible US investment firms.
