Harney to outline plans to improve patient safety

Health Minister Mary Harney is due to set out today how the Government intends to improve safety for hospital patients.

A report on the issue has warned that adequate systems are not in place to reduce the risk of mistakes or to ensure patients receive the highest possible quality of care.
