Lenihan to face more pressure over Anglo deposit

Finance Minister Brian Lenihan is expected to come under more political pressure today following the latest controversy involving Anglo Irish Bank.

Yesterday, Mr Lenihan admitted that he only learned last month about the multi-billion euro deposit placed in Anglo by Irish Life & Permanent just before the end of Anglo’s financial year last September.
