Govt knew about deposit before Anglo nationalisation

The Taoiseach has told the Dáil that the Government was aware of the controversial deposit made by Irish Life & Permanent in Anglo Irish Bank before it decided to nationalise the institution in January.

IL&P reportedly lodged €4bn in Anglo just before the end of the latter's financial year in September.
