Cowen: No changes in use of Government jet
Taoiseach Brian Cowen has said today that there are no plans to change the way the Government jet is used by members of the Cabinet.
Confusion has arisen about its use after Environment Minister John Gormley suggested recently that more Ministers should fly with commercial airlines.
Answering questions in the Dáil, Mr Cowen said the jet offers flexibility for overseas Government business that commercial crafts cannot.
