30 held in connection with Westmeath disturbances

Gardaí in Co Westmeath have arrested more than 30 people this morning in connection with large-scale public order disturbances last July.

The arrests were made early in the morning by officers from the Westmeath Division, supported by the Dog Unit and Air Support Unit.

The detainees are due to be brought before a special sitting of Mullingar District Court later this morning.
