Meath experiences largest jump in unemployed
Co Meath experienced the largest proportional increase in the number of people on the Live Register last month, according to the CSO.
The statistics agency says the number of people signing on the dole in the county was up almost 18% in January.
Waterford experienced the smallest proportional increase at 9.2%.
On a regional basis, the mid-east experienced the largest increase (15.5%), while the south-east had the smallest increased (11%).
The overall Live Register figures released earlier this week show that the number signing on across the country increased by around 12.5% last month.
