The number of murders and manslaughters in Ireland fell by 38%, according to the latest crime statistics from the CSO.

The number of murders and manslaughters in Ireland fell by 38%, according to the latest crime statistics from the CSO.

Forty-nine people were murdered in 2008, while three manslaughters were also recorded.
