Wartime bomb found in harbour

A suspected Second World War bomb has been found sunken in a harbour in the North.

The device was uncovered by a dredger working near the seafront at Warrenpoint, Co Down.

Army bomb disposal experts are co-operating with the police and the harbour commissioners to establish if it is live.

An exclusion zone has been set up round the dredger, which is anchored 100 yards from the shore.

It is understood the Royal Navy have also been alerted to the find.
