Finance Minister Brian Lenihan has appealed to workers in the public service to do their bit for the country during the current economic difficulties.

Mr Lenihan was speaking at the end of a two-day Dáil debate on the Government's controversial new spending cut-backs, which aim to slash public spending by €2bn.
