Govt publishes plan to reduce private-car usage

The Government has published a plan aimed at getting half-a-million commuters to switch from private cars to other forms of transport by 2020.

The Smarter Transport initiative will include an increase in park-and-ride facilities and the development of a special car-sharing website.
