Roads flooded in Dublin and surrounding counties

Several roads in Dublin and surrounding counties have been hit by flooding following heavy rainfall overnight.

AA Roadwatch says the Conyngham Road in Chapelizod is closed in both directions, while there is also flooding in Bray, Dun Laoghaire, Shankhill, the N11 and around the Phoenix Park.

Motorists are being advised to take extra care when driving because of surface water on many routes.

Meanwhile, further sleet and snow showers are expected to develop later in the day and motorists are being urged to listen to traffic updates.
