Prescription rate for antibiotics on the rise in Ireland

Ireland is one of only three European countries where the prescription rate for antibiotics is on the rise, according to the Royal College of Physicians.

The organisation says it is concerned that the rising use of antibiotics could lead to more healthcare-associated infections like MRSA and c. difficile.
