A woman in her 70s has died in hospital following a road collision in the North.

A woman in her 70s has died in hospital following a road collision in the North.

The pensioner was seriously injured in a crash in Ballynure, Co Antrim, 10 days ago that also claimed the life of 79-year-old Norman Barbour from Carrickfergus. It is understood the dead woman is Mr Barbour’s wife.

The car they were travelling in collided with a flat bed truck on the village’s Main Street on Thursday January 22.
