SAP - which provides management software for businesses - is to cut 3,000 jobs from its worldwide workforce, it emerged this afternoon

The company employs 800 staff in Ireland at centres in Galway and Dublin.

In a statement, SAP said it was unable to specifically quantify what reductions would be in each market, but that each country would be affected in some way.
