Harney: 'Talks on €2bn cuts at critical stage'

High-pressure talks between the Government and the social partners on €2bn in cuts have now reached a critical stage, Health Minister Mary Harney claimed today.

The Taoiseach’s officials today resumed intensive contacts with the main unions and employer groups in a bid secure agreement on a package of measures.
