Stardust victims committee 'confident' campaign nearing end
Families of those who perished in the Stardust fire say they are quietly confident that their campaign for justice is drawing to a close.
Forty-eight young people perished in the fire on St Valentine's night in 1981.
A re-examination of evidence has rejected the finding of the original inquiry that the fire was probably caused deliberately.
A report released to the families of victims recommends that the Government corrects the public record to acknowledge that no evidence existed to support arson.
Committee spokesperson Antoinette Keegan said she is looking for swift action on the recommendation to bring closure.
