Green Party local election candidates from across the country will gather in Drogheda today.

The meeting comes after a very bad week for the party.

On Tuesday, Cork city councillor Chris O’Leary quit while on Thursday Dublin City Councillor Bronwen Maher followed him.

Both councillors criticised the leadership and the direction the party is taking.

Today's meeting in Drogheda has been planned to discuss preparations for the elections in June.
