The volume of retail sales is down by 8.1%, the largest annual decrease since 1984, according to new figures released today by the Central Statistics Office.

The volume of retail sales is down by 8.1%, the largest annual decrease since 1984, according to new figures released today by the Central Statistics Office.

The figurs relate to the period between November 2007 and November 2008.
