Kilkenny mine to close with loss of 200 jobs

The Galmoy zinc/lead mine in Co Kilkenny is to close with the loss of 200 jobs.

The owners of the mine, Lundin Mining Corporation, announced plans today to close the mine in May, two years earlier than planned.
