Man remanded in custody pending extradition application

The High Court has remanded a Co Meath man in custody pending an application for his extradition to Lithuania on explosives charges.

Seamus McGreevy was arrested this morning at his home at Streamline Road, Gormanstown in Co Meath.

The court was told that when presented with a European arrest warrant today, Mr McGreavy replied that he had never been to Lithuania.

The 56-year-old has been remanded in custody until tomorrow when an application for bail will be heard.
