Dublin City Councillor resigns from Greens

Dublin City Councillor Bronwen Maher has resigned from the Green Party.

The councillor says she can no longer support the party leadership's very deliberate change of policy direction.

At a press conference in Dublin Cllr Maher said it had not been an easy decision.

The news follows the resignation from the party yesterday of Cork City Councillor Chris O'Leary.
