Oireachtas committee to visit pork crisis plant
The chairman of the Oireachtas committee inquiring into the pork crisis has said they hope to visit the plant at the centre of the scare, Millstream Recycling, near Bunclody, Co Wexford
The TDs and Senators are examining the response by the authorities to the crisis and the effectiveness of food traceability.
Close to 100, 000 contaminated pigs have been slaughtered as a result of the dioxin scare that led to the withdrawal of all Irish pork and bacon products late last year.
