Second Green Party councillor looks poised to resign

There was speculation this morning that another Green Party Councillor, Dublin City representative Bronwen Maher, could resign from the party.

Maher has called a press conference for later this morning to clarify her position.

The move follows the resignation from the party yesterday of Cork councillor Chris O'Leary, who said he could not support a party that keeps its head down in Government.

He also expressed his dissatisfaction at the Government's recent budgetary and financial decisions.
