Cork councillor quits Greens in protest at Govt role

A Green councillor in Cork city has resigned from the party today in protest at the party's performance in the coalition government.

Chris O'Leary announced the decision this morning, saying he plans to contest next June's local elections as an independent councillor.

Mr O'Leary thanked his constituents for all their support and pledged to continue working for them in the future.
