Ahern defends record on crime

Justice Minister Dermot Ahern hit back at Opposition claims that he was losing the grip on gangland crime after two gun murders in Dublin suburbs in less than 24 hours.

A man in his mid 30s was fatally wounded in Finglas last night, just hours after another victim was gunned down in the driveway of his home in Tallaght on Monday night.
