The High Court has remanded in custody a convicted member of the Real IRA wanted in Lithuania on charges of attempting to acquire weapons and ammunition and being engaged in terrorism.

Liam Campbell (aged 46), Upper Faughart, Dundalk was convicted in May 2004 by the non-jury Special Criminal Court (SCC) of being a member on October 3rd 2000 of an unlawful organisation styling itself the Irish Republican Army, otherwise Óghlaigh na hÉireann, otherwise the IRA.
