Catholic Bishops seek national plan to tackle poverty

Catholic bishops are calling on the Government to draw up a "national development plan for people".

In a report published today, the Bishops’ Commission for Justice and Social Affairs says poverty was not wiped out during the Celtic Tiger years and will now become a growing problem during the recession.
