Union: 400 to be laid off at Limerick plant
SIPTU has said it expects up to 400 workers to be laid off at the RR Donnelly - formerly Banta - facility in Limerick as a direct result of Dell's decision to cease manufacturing at its nearby plant in Raheen.
Although the company has yet to make a formal announcement, the union says workers have been told that as contracts with Dell are phased out during the year, operations at RR Donnelly will also wind down.
