An unemployed Dublin man has been jailed for five years for possessing over €13,000 of heroin outside his flat over a year ago.

Judge Patrick McCarten said in Dublin Circuit Criminal Court that although Keith Staunton (aged 42) had no "trappings of a rich man", he didn’t accept his explanation to gardaí that he was holding the €13,757 of drugs for somebody else in a once-off deal on July 20, 2007.
