Second junior minister offers to relinquish role

A second junior minister has indicated that he is willing to give up his job as part of efforts to address the huge imbalance in Ireland's public finances.

Kildare TD Sean Power says he would be willing to give up his role as a Minister of State at the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources for the good of the country.
