Talks continue over Waterford Wedgwood pension fears
Representatives of workers at Waterford Wedgwood are to meet officials from the Department of Finance today to discuss concerns about the company's pension scheme.
There are fears that staff could lose their pension entitlements because of a major shortfall in the firm's retirement fund.
Trade unions have already held talks with the Tánaiste earlier this week to discuss the pension scheme following the decision to put Waterford Wedgwood into receivership.
They are also due to hold another meeting tomorrow with potential investors in the firm before reporting back to the employees at the weekend.
Unite is calling on the Government to establish a protection fund for the workers.
