A&E overcrowding forces part closure of hospital

Our Lady of Lourdes hospital in Drogheda has been forced to partly close due to severe overcrowding in its A&E unit.

The hospital stopped accepting new medical and surgical cases last night, but is understood to be still dealing with trauma, paediatric and obstetric cases.
